A cute little headline appeared in Friday’s Guardian:
Able Seaman is captain for final(it refers to David Seaman, the Arsenal goalkeeper). Unlike most headlines that pack a pun(ch), this one doesn’t push the allusion in the reader’s face, so it doesn’t feel as irritating.
